The
Devon Drivers' Centre at Westpoint, near Exeter, allows Driving
Instructors to take pupils aged 16 on their off-road course.
On
the course you can learn the basics about driving a car without
the busy roads to worry about.
This
is ideal if you are slightly nervous about learning to drive,
as you can practice the everyday procedures (such as pedestrian
crossings, traffic-lights etc.) and manoeuvres in a worry-free
environment.
As
the course is in Exeter all Drive@16 lessons
are two hours in length, and can be taken in either the manual
or automatic cars.
